This was a gift from my husband's work Christmas party for us two years old. the length of the pole is a piece of hard plastic and do not stay long, so you can catch the fish, which folds over itself. so our son could not be anything to him. would be better if the extension does not bend at all, but only stayed in one place, and even if it did I would not buy. it's fun to have a pole with a rope so you can reel in. 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Bake the only reason I have two stars is because my daughter asks to play in the bathtub in a Christmas rush / mad I bought this toy as a stocking stuffer, think you can reel in the line.
